Released in 1997, this three car set was made to run with the Santa Fe Alco PA-1 #18952 (sold separately AND IN STOCK).

These are four of the most beautiful passenger cars Lionel has ever offered. Designed to recall the stainles-steel glory of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railways passenger era, Lionel calls this set The Surfliner in honor of one of the world's most beautiful routes - the "Surfline" corridor between Los Angeles and San Diego.

The Lionel Surfliner four-pack includes the Indian Arrow dining car, Grass Valley and Citrus Valley coaches, and Vista Heights observation car - a typical consist for a midday San Diegan - Santa Fe's real-life surfline passenger service of the 50's and 60's. All are crafted from chrome-look aluminum with correct fluting detail and true-to-life car names and graphics.

Traditional passenger silhouettes tell you this is one popular route - and why not? With the breakers rolling in as you pass by, this could be the most beautiful scenery the Santa Fe ever called its own. Make it yours with Lionel.
